Last month we ordered Sarah some on sale luggage from Company Kids. Well, initally it was just one rolling suitcase (seen on the left) that looked like a nice size which would replace her tiny Dora rolling backpack and allow her to fit all her clothes for short trips. Very cute, monogramed with her name and only $40 (not including monogramming). We ordered it. Took FOREVER – over 3 weeks forever. Apparently they were backlogged on the monogramming orders. I tried to cancel the order but it had already shipped. Then we got the suitcase: it was HUGE. Think we ordered the wrong size. I remembered them having the matching rolling backpack and so we decided to order that one too because we needed something small. I think I scared them the first time because this order came within 2 weeks despite their warning of long wait times til the monogramming was done. So The Company Store and I are friends again.
Anyway, they recently launched kids clothing on the site. This is a store known for comforters so it seems a bit of a departure. Nothing too fancy but the clothes look like good, durable basics. Last week they sent over a 20% off coupon (code TR9K20F, if you want to see if it’s still valid) plus free S&H. I thought I’d get a few basics so I can check them out – a few selections plus my favorites after the jump.
Everytime you think “hey, consumer products have gotten very boring, except for those awesome SpongeBob (or Dora) video games”, along comes something which clearly shows how far we’ve advanced in product technology – road kill scarves! Tastefully done too. And the perfect gift for those who don’t like those plain solid or printed sissy scarves. Some images after the jump…
